Parents and students, the time is here! On Saturday, March 1st, Piner and Dillingham band students are participating in our Solo Competition! Each student has had the opportunity to practice with directors and pianists, and they are ready to play!

Please be aware that the file has four tabs – if you cannot find your student’s spot, please check one of the other rooms. There will be four rooms with four professional musicians as judges.

Students should arrive at Sherman High School at least 20 minutes before their scheduled time. They will be given the opportunity to warm up in the Sherman High School Band Hall. Signs will be posted leading them to their performance rooms, and the directors will be there to monitor and assist.

After their performance, students can stay around for their results, which should be posted approximately 20-30 minutes after their performances. Then, they are able to leave.

Please remember that the contest dress is “nice.” If students wish to wear what they had previously warn at our Christmas Concert, that would be acceptable. This is their opportunity to put their best foot forward.

Also – the $10 fee for Solo Contest (which covers the judges, facilities, and pianists) is due as soon as possible. Please make checks out to Piner Band.
